Local Talk release no.61 is ”Bewyste EP”, a unique and contagious take on house music by Esa & Mervin Granger. The opening track, Bontas lures you deep into Esa's forward thinking house music, it's raw, percussive and wondrously catchy with a organic feel. It might sound pretty straight forward but don't let that fool you. There's many layers of efx and clever programming which makes Esa stray away from norm when it comes to producing and that's what we love. Next up is MVK, a perfectly balanced deep house number ala Prescription that builds slowly with a lush combination of chords and piano. Watch out for the thumpin bass, it transforms the track into something really special and takes it to another level. On the flip esteemed producer Boddhi Satva delivers a remix worthy of a big sound system. His Ancestral Soul Mix of MVK is delicate swinging congas and claps, garnished with a twisted synth line just waiting to explode. It's pure soul and groove in it's finest form, showcasing Boddhi's unique quality and musicianship. As a special bonus we're treated with two more remixes from Boddhi on the digital release. A fine addition to the Local Talk discography
