We’ve had our eyes and ears on Tee Mango for a while now.
His debut album 'Imperfections' is future classic in our book and the Tribute series been part of our DJ-sets for a while now. In short – we had to get him to do an EP for Local Talk.
DADHAUS EP is forward-thinking music with an edge; (undoubtedly sharpened through countless studio hours). Tee’s channels the deep house flavours of Detroit and Chicago across four tracks of exquisitely executed percussion and 'sample-not-sample' work. It's another winner from the man like Tee Mango.
Remembrance - wow... each part. Utterly, utterly perfect. Inspiring drums...
Strings Of Light pulls you in from the start, letting you know you're in for a great trip.
Joint 17 is another great track, smooth and funky and exploring around the edges of the groove.
Black Focus is a great opener and Yo Chavez is really nice.
Lowrider... mmm, the theme is bit retro for me, which is fitting - and brilliant playing, of course.
Favourite track: Remembrance Peter Jones
Great project, played iigo on my weekly broadcast radio show and the phone line lit up. People pulling their cars over to call asking about the tune. Played it in one one my DJ sets and the floor lit up. This is definitely my favorite track. lukumipeople
